Guardians of the Sacred Space
What does it mean to be a guardian?
For us, a guardian of a sacred space is first and foremost a guardian of their own space – which means that they guard and protect their own space, their sacred temple. From there, they extend their own sacred space to include the space around them. This guardianship involves being in tune with the energy, the needs, and the intention of the space. To ensure that it is an intentional space – and to guard that intention, to ensure that it is materialized. In doing so, they serve not the others in the space, but they serve the space’s intention.
A guardian invites people into this sacred space and invites and allows them to tune into themselves, to respect, honor, appreciate and align with the energy, the intention, and the purpose of the space. In order to do this, they embody the purpose, intention, essence, core of the space. They are tuned in with consciousness, with the divine, with the sacred and they embody the essence of the space. The guardians facilitate awareness, invite, allow, remind, guide, facilitate and support.
